Purpose: Basic training in Basic First Aid Procedures: 

Course Description:

  • Recognize and provide intervention for life-threatening emergencies

  • Artificial respiration

  • How to help someone choking

  • How to deal with shock and unconsciousness, severe bleeding and CPR for adult casualties

St. John Basic First Aid, Level C CPR and AED CSA Standard Z1210-17 (R2021)

Duration: 16 hours

Purpose: Basic training in Intermediate First Aid

Procedures: Level C

Course Description:

  • Recognize and provide intervention for life-threatening emergencies

  • Artificial respiration

  • How to help someone who is choking

  • How to deal with shock and unconsciousness, severe bleeding and CPR for adult casualties

  • First aid for head and spinal injuries

  • Fractures of upper and lower limbs

  • AED

St. John Basic First Aid Recertification CSA Standard Z1210-17 (R2021)

Duration: 8 hours

Purpose: Those who use First Aid on a daily basis

Course Description:

  • Must hold a valid Intermediate First Aid or SFA Certificate

  • Pick up a book 1 week prior to class and study

  • Must demonstrate skills as well as pass the theoretical exam

  • Unsuccessful candidates will be required to take the full course at their cost.
